Me on my wedding day, Thank you Autumn!
Who is
ollie?!
Hey!
I'm a Professional Photographer based in the best city in the UK, Bristol.
(If you think otherwise, then please state your argument in a well written essay validating your points as to why I am wrong!)
I believe I've been inadvertently trained from a young age, as a sleeper agent photographer, by my Mum and Grandma (or as we call her, jam-jar.)
We would go on countless adventures and "seeing eye walks" when I was a nipper.
I was taught not just to look at the mountains, but also the ants at my feet, and the wildflowers they were climbing on. In simpler terms - to notice not just the big picture, but all the small details and intricacies of life.
This is what goes through my mind every time I put my eye to the viewfinder of my camera.
The finer details that you put into your wedding day such as the personalised handkerchief you gave to your pops, or the or the tiny picture of a lost loved one on your bouquet are equally as important to capture as your first kiss, or the first dance.
Yes; you are human beings just like me, (questionable) but what is your story, and how can I convey that using the best methods at my disposal.
My fondness for weddings still grows with every couple's story.
Every couple that I take on, I like to form a strong bond with.
We will definitely be friends by the time you've taken your shoes off at the end of the night, if not before! That relationship building is integral to my style, as it's what allows me to capture you at your most intimate, without worry of "oh we're being photographed now, it's time to pose." Instead, you can just relax and enjoy each others company on the first day of your new adventure, knowing that Iām going to capture you at your best.
A couple of facts about me.
I Love Photography (obviously!) and always have a camera to hand.
I am a big people person. I love making others laugh, meeting new people (and dogs) and listening to their stories (woof.)
I'm obsessed with the great outdoors. Mountains, Oceans, and Pine trees are my favourite.
I have an infatuation with Volkswagen, especially classic Beetles, Sciroccos, and Golfs!
I love Pizza and a good Whiskey.
I am a huge Film nerd. (Please talk to me about Star Wars/ LOTR/ classic horror.)
I collect cameras of all shapes and sizes, and have over 60.
Travel is one of the biggest loves of my life, and Iceland is my favourite country.
I have been with my School sweetheart for 17 years, and we got married (FINALLY!) in September 2023.
I have a cat called Mackerel, and a daughter called Birdie. (Animal theme here.)
I have the superpower of ADHD (neurodivergent cru!) to fuel my creativity and drive to create constantly.
I play drums and used to be in a hardcore punk band. (We never really broke up though, just a 10 year hiatus while we all age, have kids and move to different parts of the world. (FTF Forever!)
Music lover. 90ās hip-hop, hardcore, punk, metal, rock, prog, math, Japanese jazz fusion, movie sound tracks and everything in between. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Wu-Tang, Led Zeppelin, Every Time I Die, Posty, Converge to name a few favourites!
I always attempt to go above and beyond for my couples; especially on the big day.
It often goes without saying that I will be spending a lot of time with you on your day, so I do whatever it takes to make sure it runs smoothly for you.In the past this has included;
Helping to do up the dress on multiple occasions!
Giving the Bride Piggybacks over gravel
Correctly applying the veil; and removing it at the end of the day
(Once you've had a few to many, usually)
Driving the bridal party to the ceremony when things have gone pear shaped
Picking the ceremony venue last minute when there are blizzards and 60MPH winds (a good story)
Helping organise your day in any way I can, and offering up helpful advice
Fixing wedding cakes that have broken in transit
Dealing with unwanted wedding crashers
Announcing you to the room, when the best man is AWOL and dinner is ready!
Tying your shoelaces
