a stylish summer wild flower wedding.

Jean and Gwan celebrated their unforgettable love story in a truly magical setting at Botley Hill Barn.

The Barn at Botley Hill is nestled in the serene Surrey countryside, this contemporary wedding venue exudes character at every turn.

Despite the unexpected August showers and the presence of some special guests (the sheep) during the ceremony, the day unfolded beautifully.

The elegance of the floral hand embroidered Alexander McQueen wedding dress by Jean, and Gwan’s floral Alexander McQueen suit, perfectly complemented the natural surroundings.

I also shot a selection of expired 35mm film at their wedding, which came out amazingly. Any chance I get to shoot film at a wedding is always a highlight!

Jean works as an embroider for Alexander McQueen, so she hand altered and customised her dress to her needs. The theme of the day was ‘summer wild flowers,’ so everything from her shoes, the detailing on her dress, Gwan’s suit, the cake and the florals were a nod to this creative decision. It also meant that there were a lot of colleagues at their wedding, so a lot of well dressed guests for me to document!

With my background in fashion and portraiture photography, and Jean’s job in the fashion industry, this was a match made in heaven for us both as supplier and couple.

These two and all their guests looked after me so incredibly well on their day, that I felt truly spoilt that they chose me as their documentary wedding photographer.
